- Well Balanced
95% of my riding is on hard-packed surfaces. My previous bike was a full suspension downhill mountain bike that was not practical, and would not coast because the tires were too aggressive. This bike rides great, perfect for commuting on road, and I can still use it on the trails.
- Packs Well
I use this as a daily runner, up and down the big hills in Pittsburgh. The front fork's shock absorbers are great on the bumpy roads and various terrain. Lightweight and sturdy, it handles well when carrying heavy loads. A great compromise between a road bike and a thick mountain bike, its great for an urban setting as well as the trails, it earns the 'dual sport' name. For the price, its a good value. Doesn't have fancy 'bells and whistles', but allows to be rigged with most accessories. Perfect entry level bike that shows the quality of Trek bicycles.
The tire was under a poor performance, I know that Bontrager makes most of trek bike tires but this was out of work on the first day
- Good Breaks Nice
- Easy To Handle
- It's Pretty Quick
- Nice View When Riding
- Shifting You Have To Work
I use the bike for fun riding and exercise, on dirt trails and road.I like the bike very much it does what I want it to do, it took me a little while to get the hang of shifting the gears and getting the right reaction but once I got it down I am comfortable with it, and have reached speeds of 23 miles an hour on level dirt trails without having to work so hard.I am amazed at that.
