Inventory Receiving Associate - Part time

Location

West Michigan Bike & Fitness is looking for someone who is very detailed oriented, well organized, has very positive attitude, and is eager to learn the products and systems of the shop to work at one of the largest bike shops in Michigan. The Inventory Receiving Associate plays an important role in our operation.  The inventory controller is responsible for making sure the inventory is in stock, priced correctly, counted accurately, and put away in the correct place. The ideal candidate is someone who wants to grow their experience level and take on more responsible within a company. Primary responsibilities will be receiving merchandise daily, cycle counts, answering phones, price adjustments, maintaining accurate inventory, attend product meetings, and assist with setting up min/max system for ordering.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that Merchandise is received and put away
  • Cycle Counts
  • Assure that inventory levels remain where they should be
  • Walks floor and looks for open holes
  • Attend morning meetings
  • Shipping out orders when needed
  • Returns to vendors
  • Maintain warranty replacements of product
  • Ensure top quality customer service
  • Assist Store Manager and Sales Manager in projects when needed
  • Year End Physical Inventory Count
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1-3 Years prior receiving experience is required
  • Must be outgoing and open to new ideas
  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Ascend POS system experience preferred
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Must have experience with business operations
  • Excellent verbal and written skills
  • Associates Degree or higher
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
  • 25-30 hrs a week
